I have been boarding my dog with pet Paradise maybe around 3 to 4 times. My dogs are really nervous but I fill this place take care of them very well. I will recommend this place without double thinking it is perfect.
Terrible experience today. I had an emergency and was running late, before heading to Pet Paradise I called to see if it was okay to arrive late. I said it would take me 20 minutes, the rep went and asked the groomer and she said I could still bring my dog today. I arrived and the front desk was busy, it took several minutes to start the check in process and by that time they tell me the appointment was cancelled.
I got there exactly at the 20 minute mark like I had said. I understand being late is my fault, but I have no control over how long the reception is going to take to get my dog checked in and how can I anticipate for that?
So upsetting, 40 minute round trip drive for nothing. I should have been told my appointment was cancelled and to reschedule from the beginning.
This was our first time having to board our dog Raymond. He absolutely loved it! We checked in on him on the cameras and he was so well taken care of and got so many pets! We will definitely use Pet Paradise again and are planning to eventually bring him to camp once a week.
I have been taking my dogs to Pet Paradise Greenville for over 2 years now. Sadly, the service just isn't the same. The front desk and/or staffing needs some serious attention and even when the issues at the front are brought to Luke's attention, it seems nothing is done to provide them more coverage and/or better efficiency. I've taken my dogs to several daycares over the years, both in Greenville and in Myrtle Beach before that, and even with volume, there are better ways to handle the demand.
If you're considering Pet Paradise, prepare yourself for 30-45 minute wait times, poor communication and/or a hard time reaching the front desk and Management.
They used to have the best people employed here, but sadly that just isn't true anymore. If you have herding dogs like I do, PLEASE do your research, and make reservations elsewhere. This isn't the best option for herding breeds and the behaviors that are intrinsic with this breed. The staff needs more training 100% and/or Luke needs to be more present, but I don't think he can (or will) make that effort.
Sadly, our time with Pet Paradise has come to an end. Save yourself the trouble and visit one of the other great resort options in the area. I know we will be in the future. It just isn't the same and for the price, my 3 dogs and I deserve better.
If you value your babies like I value mine, do more research and explore other options. The reviews here of people that have been visiting this place for over a year, and for more than just boarding, should attest to the decline if you can't take my word for it.
I dropped my baby off to get him used to getting boarded as we prepare to travel this year. The first day I called and was told that he had gone out and was resting, I can believe that; when his anxiety increase in new surroundings he will work himself up to a frenzy and sleep more.
I woke up and felt uneasy around 3AM and looked at him on the Webcam. He was pacing around trying to get out. My heart was broken. When I arrived to pick him up the staff was out with other excited dogs and took a minute to come to the front understandably. I asked the staff member get him and I would take him out. She shared that he had been taken out already. This was not true, 1. I had been watching the cam since 3:30, 2. Because he used the restroom as soon as we left, 3. He couldn't wait to jump out of the car and ran straight to our grass to poop. I did not feel that was anything to be untruthful about, I just wished there was someone there earlier to take him out. He was ravished when he arrived home and he had been in the little space from about 9PM (that I'm aware of) until I picked him up after 9:30AM this morning no one has taken him out. This is a very long time to be in such a small space. His blanket was saturated with his pee. I would have appreciated the truth. Plain and simple. Granted, I will be back as I realize I too have separation anxiety.
Made a new day vet appointment using the pet paradise call center number. Our dog was due for his vaccinations and we wanted to use the convenience of the in-house vet to take care of this during our dog's stay. I Was assured by the representative that our dog could receive his vaccinations during his previously made reservation.
Upon dropping off our dog, I was told by the manager, Luke, our dog could/would not be seen by the new day vets as they were on vacation and that they were unaware of our appointment with the vets. Inquiring further, i was told that pet paradise and new day vets do not communicate with one another and calling the pet paradise call center to schedule reservations and appointments wouldn't necessarily be honored. We've called the call center numerous times in the past and have never had an issue.
I was told that the company's lack of communication was my problem and needed to make other arrangements for our dog by either taking him to a nearby clinic (which requires appointments) to get his vaccinations to then return him to pet paradise for his reservation or cancel the reservation entirely. Luke told us this type of issue is a known issue by the company however they refuse to do anything to prevent it.
We were luckily able to get a walk-in appointment at the nearby clinic however this additional step to our day caused issues for us that we were not anticipating. We wish the in-house vet was able to honor the appointment scheduled by the pet paradise call center.
The manager did try to admonish me to call the actual facility to make appointments and reservations however, we're never able to get an answer from anyone on site, hence calling the call center.
Otherwise, our dog loves pet paradise. The caretakers treat him very well. Just handle your vet needs elsewhere.
I call it “The Spa” My dog Buddy loves this place. We used the Pet Paradise in Yulee, FL and I was really satisfied with their service. I moved to Greenville and noted there was a Pet Paradise here as well. I was relieved to find the services similar and all my info as well as Buddy’s history was in the system. Buddy loves this place. I use them for boarding, sporadic day care, etc. as soon as I mention “doggy daycare” he’s all smiles. As soon as we are within 4-6 blocks he’s ready!
I been taking my Doggie Hope to this location for about a year now and she loves it and I am so grateful for them because I know she is also love and well care for every time she is there. I recently adopted a new doggie her name is Love and every single staff member has been great to treat Love and Hope with care and tenderness.
Their Veterinary Services are amazing! Dr. Fay, Charlie, Pat and Amanda go above and beyond to make sure the doggies are on top health and to give each pet parent peace of mind about there dogs health.
Mandy the manager and Kelly the assistant manager are great and they are both incredible kind and helpful.
Check out the camp and care plans! For a low monthly fee you can have all the vaccines taking care off and you get to pay only $20 dollars a day per camp.
If you are not a camp and care member the price is a little high but you get what you pay for! The facility is beautiful and all the caregiver for the doggies are loving and make sure that your doggies behave while playing with their friends!
Thank you Pet Paradise Greenville! You guys rock and I am so glad to be able to bring my doggies to you guys with my busy and know they will be well taken care off.
